Polychrome Fine Arts celebrates the beginning of their 3rd year with Hobnob 3, a group show of gallery artists including Caite Dheere. This show runs all summer, beginning Sunday, July 17, 2011 (12:00pm - 6:00pm) and continues to September 8, 2011. Polychrome is located at 1113 Fort Street in Victoria.

One Day Only: Saturday, July 16, 2011

The 24th annual TD Art Gallery Paint-In is taking over Moss Street in Victoria once again this year. This will be Caite’s fourth year participating. As well as showing some new work, Caite will demonstrate her technique and talk about her process. Just look for the blowtorch! Or you can view the gallery’s artist map. Either way, come on down July 16, 2011 between 11:00am and 4:30pm and join literally thousands of art lovers for Victoria’s largest festival of visual art.

The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria’s Christmas Small Works Exhibition is in full swing this year. Visit the AGGV’s Massey Gallery and browse original art priced between $100 and $150. This exhibit supports programming at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria as well as local artists. Caite is proud to be part of this show once again this year. Just in time for the Toronto holiday season, Art Interiors is holding their 17th Annual Festival of Smalls. Caite has 8 encaustic pieces in this show and you can see them at the Art Interiors festival page.  If you happen to be in Toronto, stop in and see the contemporary collection of original artwork in gift sizes from $55 to $250. Opening: July 24 to August 2, 2010

Caite will be exhibiting two jury-selected pieces in the 2010 Sooke Fine Arts Show. The annual event features both well-known and emerging artists from Vancouver Island and the Gulf-Islands. While there, make sure to check out work by Cheryl Taves and Lisa Hebden. The exhibit runs from Saturday July 24, 2010 until Monday, August 2, 2010 at Seaparc Leisure Complex, 2168 Phillips Road, Sooke B.C. If you’ve never been, it’s a jam packed event.

Opening: June 26- August 29, 2010

The AGGV Art Rental’s Summer Small Works is a salon style exhibition and sale of 200 plus art peices by some of Vancouver Island’s finest artists, all priced between $200-$400. Members of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria receive a 10% discount on purchases of art work. This show will be open during the Paint-In, so do drop by if you want an intimate viewing experience away from the crowds.

One Day Only: Saturday, July 17, 2010

Up to 100 artists will line the boulevards of Moss Street from Fort Street to Dallas Road on Saturday, July 17, 2010 for the 23rd annual Art Gallery Paint-In. Though the event name has changed somewhat, this will be Caite’s third year showcasing her work as well as sharing tips and techniques of the encaustic painting process. Check the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria event map for the exact location of the artists’ stations. This year the event begins at 11 and finishes at 4:30 pm. With about 35,000 visitors, it’s an art spectacle not to be missed.

Polychrome Fine Arts presents HOBNOB 2, a group exhibit featuring works by over 30 gallery artists including Caite Dheere. The opening for this exhibit starts July 11, 2010 from 12-6 pm and runs until August 26, 2010. Beginning Sunday, April 11, Polychrome Fine Arts presents Rotator, a group exhibit of abstract artwork. Caite has several new pieces featured in this show. She will be in attendance (and will no doubt sample some of Mary’s delicious cookies) between 12:00 and 2:00 this Sunday. Come on down. If you can’t make it, drop by the gallery Wednesdays through Sundays until April 29, 2010.
